Lou Malandra, founder of
ALM Publications and Recordings, began his career in the Arts after
graduating from Denver University earning the MFA Degree in Acting
(1974) and the MA Degree in Theatre (1972).
Malandra has been highly

It is a wonderful evening in its 36th week. Last week, Lou
recited "Casey at the Bat" for Denver's Blind Baseball team.
It was a rip, such a humbling experience.

The Lou Malandra
Trio blends the exquisite jazz pianist, Doug Roche, the
incomparable Bass playing of Ron Bland, and the rich voice of
a poet, Lou Malandra. Together, the Trio creates the
most harmonious compositions of poetry and jazz.
"PoeJazz", is the affectionate name the fella's give their
work. Malandra sums it all up when introducing these
gifted artists, "These gentlemen are Jazz, and they call me
Poe!".
